Chase Dynamic

What do you get from sitting in front of a screen consuming content for over 12 hours a day? Feelings of inadequacy and worthlessness, dissatisfaction with life, mentally tired from doing essentially nothing, becoming physically weak from sitting still nonstop…

The moment I turn off the screens and go outside, I instantly feel better.

There’s something about just being in movement and not stagnant in front of a screen. Do something. Go run some errands. Go walk around. Go clean the house. Go physical shopping if you have to. Walk, run, drive, talk, write, build, create, get your heart rate going.

There was a time when I found driving a chore. Now, multi-hour drives are a necessity as they allow my brain to slow down, refocus, learn and process information at a rate it’s much more evolved to. Sitting in front of the steering wheel, speeding down the highway, my eyes are constantly scanning the road signs and transferring information into my brain; this is the type of stimulation that doesn’t exhaust me mentally and ruin my eyesight.

I always want to be moving. I always want to be driving down a new road and committing the route to memory. I always want to be seeing new things and experiencing new things. I learn more when things are dynamic.

We are hunter gatherers. We are animals. Not robots.
